Hasmar PDF reads and processes selected files in your browser. Its processing code does not upload PDF or photo contents to a server. Visiting the website still makes ordinary web requests to its hosting provider.
What stays in your browser?
When you select a document, the app uses its bytes, filename and page previews to build your workspace. The browser creates the output PDF or ZIP, then lets you download it. The app does not intentionally save the workspace in local storage or a database.
Clear ends the current workspace. Reloading or closing the page also ends the session. Downloads stay wherever your browser saves them, and your browser or operating system may manage temporary data independently.
What does the website host see?
Cloudflare serves the website files. Website requests can include an IP address, requested URL, browser information and timestamps. Those delivery requests are different from sending a selected document for remote processing. See the Privacy Policy for the current hosting, support and advertising status.
How can I inspect the behavior?
- Use a non-sensitive sample document.
- Open your browser’s developer tools and its Network panel before loading the website.
- Select the sample, rearrange pages and download the result.
- Inspect network requests and their request bodies. Loading PDF rendering resources is expected; document contents should not be transmitted by the processing flow.
This check describes the app’s behavior, not a security certification. Extensions, device management software, malware, downloaded-file synchronization and changes to the hosting configuration are outside the PDF tool’s control.
Handle important files carefully
Keep originals and check the downloaded output. Page copying can affect bookmarks, annotations, interactive forms and digital signatures. The tools do not remove hidden document information as a certified redaction process. Removing a visible page is not a guarantee that every sensitive detail has been sanitized.
For workplace or school documents, follow your organization’s handling rules. Do not email sensitive samples to support. An error message, browser version and approximate file size are usually better starting points for troubleshooting.
